Arrival at one & only airport in Kamchatka. Pick - up at the airport and transfer to hotel. Briefing with the guide & team in the evening.
Transfer to the heli port. Flight to the Ozernowsky settlement (approx. 1 h 15 minutes) along volcanoes, tundra, and western shore. After landing transfer by off - road vehicle to the Pauzshetka village, where you set the camp at your guide´s garden, which offers you pool with hot thermal water and Russian sauna. Overnight in tents.
You leave the Pauzshetka village for the next four days to explore the area which is more populated by brown bears than by humans. Therefore your guides are equipped with weapons for the protection of the group.
During these four days your major goal is to summit two volcanoes: Koshelewsky and Kambalny. In between you cross high tundra ans explore the wild nature of the South. At one of the days you camp at a place that offers you a natural hot spring bath. Pore joy!
The day you get back to the little paradise in Pauzshetka. Depending where you camp the previous night, you get back to Pauzshetka in the late or early afternoon, where heated sauna and swimming pool as well as cooled fresh drinks are awaiting for. You had quite an adventure!
It is a spare day for the case of bad weather or if your flight was postponed in the beginning. You can either relax in pool, or explore the settlement for example Russian first geo - thermal plant that is located in Pauzshetka is absolutely worth visiting.
You start another part of your trip by hiking 12 km to the shore of the famous Kurile lake. The Iljinsky volcano indicates your destination for camping and for an ascend the next day. Overnight in tents at the lake.
early morning bird and you get to the starting point by a zodiac boat. After a short ride you start descending the Iljinsky volcano, which take approx. 6 hours to get to the crater. After enjoying the magnetic view which not so many people ever had, you get back to the camp. Overnight in tents.
Time to say good - bye to the South of Kamchatka as you first hike 12 km back to Pauzshetka, which has already become your second home.
Our sturdy off - road vehicle Kamaz takes you back to Petropavlovsk - Kamchatsky. It is a long day, as you spend 12+ hours on the road, yet you explore the Okhotsk sea shore out of the window with short stop - overs to cross numerous rivers and creeks. Overnight in hotel.
Time for some sightseeing. The first part of the day you spent visiting Kamchatka´s capital Petropvlovsk - Kamchatsky, the volcanological museum and old city - center. In the early afternoon our Kamaz takes you to the mountainous plateau between Kamchatka´s two most active volcanoes Gorely & Mutnowsky. Set the tent camp.
Ascend the Gorely volcano. Not only is the landscape around fascinated you as you ascend the volcano, but a mind - blowing view awaits you once you get to the crater edge. This not so prominent from the outside volcano fascinates everyone with its colorful craters and its acid lakes. Back to the camp.
Hiking into the crater of the Mutnowsky volcano. One of the rare experiences where you see volcano from its inner side. Get back to the camp.
Drive back to Petropavlovsk - Kamchatsky. Overnight in hotel.
Extra reserve day. You can undertake optional activities such as flight to the valley of geysers or visit Pacific beach with black volcanic sand for surfing. Overnight in hotel.
